You are entirely floating on a cloud since he popped the question. The ring is perfect and your thoughts are swimming in the future of your lives together. Both of you have chosen a date to profess, before the world, your vows of love and commitment. But, you realize that you are a budget queen and want to try less expensive wedding supplies for your ceremony.

We have heard the arguments on how this is the bride's day and she has a right to all she desires. This is all wonderful but, it is also his day, too. You will not be standing there alone. He should have a say in how the ceremony will progress. What better way to learn how to communicate with each other than to share in the ceremony preparations?

You probably will not want to pay on the bill for an expensive wedding twenty years from now. It is better to spend the money you save on an expensive wedding, for the future you and your husband need. Why start out your lives with a huge debt?

Most of us, whether we want to admit it or not, collect all kinds of items through the course of our lives. Weddings, receptions, baptisms, and various other activities allow us to obtain so many objects, and they remain stored in our basements and attics, doing nothing but, collecting dust. They should really be put to good use. What better use than a wedding?

Maybe one of your female relatives has a dress they can either donate or give you. If one of your friends or relatives has the talent to sew, they might make a dress for you. You can purchase the fabric, pattern and thread from a specialty store and this will cost you considerably less than one made in a high end store. You may even have the ability to sew and can put together something nice for your wedding day.

Decorations for the wedding can be found in thrift stores very easily. Yes, this depends on what you are planning but, you can also compromise. White tapered candles are not that expensive and you can buy them by the dozen. Hobby stores have a large selection of items you can buy which you may have to assemble but, the savings are worth the extra effort.

Remember, you do not have to follow any set rules when you decide upon how you will do your wedding. This is totally up to you and your partner. There are no right and wrong ways to complete the union. You can be as wild and free or as simple and conservative as you want. Being economical is not a horrible idea, and can still give you many memories to cherish. You and your mate will be the judges of how fantastic your union will be.
